Igloo + View + Great food = Amazing Night Out

Sitting on the banks of the Thames there is a concept of eating that everybody should try once. Or a hundred times.

And that is Igloo eating.

With views of the Shard and Tower Bridge, your night out is already picture perfect on that alone. Add to it the actual igloo with its wooden furniture, fake-fur warmers and Instagramable food and it is no wonder the igloo-like pods at Coppa Club in Tower Hill are booked up until next year for lunch AND dinner.

But if you have lots of patience and is not easily disappointed, you could go to the restaurant without a pre-booking and ask the staff to let you know if any of the igloos become available for a drop-in gathering. You might get lucky. Might. But most likely won’t. Hence why the not easily disappointed bit. But worth a try anyway, even if just for some selfies with the outside of the igloos…

How to get there: Tower Hill tube station on the circle and district lines is your best bet. From there it is a short along Tower of London (do not mistake it for the Tower Bridge, which is the… well… actual bridge).

Opening times: 07.30 to 23.00 Mondays to Thursdays | 07.30 to midnight Fridays | 09.00 to midnight Saturdays | 09.00 to 22.30 Sundays.

Igloo opening days: From around mid to late October to end of February. For opening of booking lines, follow Coppa Club on Instagram for updates for winter 2018-2019 or hopefully more added dates for beginning of next year. Fingers crossed!

Best time to go: The place is bound to be busy any time of the day with a waiting of around 30 minutes. Book a table (in the main restaurant) in advance to avoid wasted journeys.
